Blood Donation

Blood Donation
Blood donation is the process of giving a pint of whole blood or specific blood components to a donate blood bank or hospital. All blood donors are first screened for certain medical conditions and to rule out certain infectious diseases to ensure that the donated blood is safe for use.

Blood can be donated whole or it can be separated into components such as red blood cells, platelets, and plasma. These components can be used separately to treat different medical conditions. Donating blood is a safe and simple process, and it can be a lifesaving act for those in need.
January 2023, is the 53rd anniversary of National Blood Donor Month and the best way to honor those who selflessly donated blood to those in need is to increase blood donation awareness.
